In Franklin on the 27th day of June 1857, Mary Ann Brady (née Furlong) married William Davies. Together they had five children, including twins who did not survive.
Mary Ann also had children to a previous husband (Francis Brady; drowned aged 28) who were brought up by their aunt & uncle Hill. Francis had arrived in Hobart with his family in 1833 (4 yrs old) from Ireland. He married Mary Ann in 1851.

(1) William Lewis Davies was educated at the local state school in Geeveston.
He was then apprenticed for six years in Hobart as a blacksmith.
Upon completion he returned to Geevston where he acquired 100 acres of land;
8 of which he laid out as an orchard and is said to have cleared the land himself and planted 1200+ trees. William died, aged 41, unmarried.

(2) Anne Tidwal Davies married John Joseph O'Halloran in Geeveston on 26th Apr 1893. John was educated in horticulture and had a large property in Geeveston
(including 5 and a half acres of orchard). They had six children:

(ii) Phillip Clement O'Halloran (b. 15 Dec 1895 - )
(iii) Thomas 'Hugh' O'Halloran (25 Sep 1897 - Nov 1985)

(3) In Southport on 21st Feb 1900 Arthur Francis Davies married Margaret Kennedy.
They had nine children:

(iii) Anne Theresa Davies (25 Nov 1903 - 20 Jul 1976)

Arthur was born in Honeywood in the Huon District, but relocated his family to Port Cygnet to pursue the orcharding business. Arthur became assitant to Matthew Fitzpatrick (leading businessman in that district) and set up an orchard at 'Glen Fern' which at the time was but a cattle run; he cultivated 12 acres as an orchard.

Margaret (née Kennedy) Davies (b. 10 Apr 1881 d. 26 Sep 1925) died aged 44.
Mary, being the eldest child, became the maternal figurehead of the family.
Bill (Arthur and Margaret's second child) married Mildred Catherine Daly ('Millie') and had a daughter:
Veronica Mary Davies (b. 23 Jan 1943).
Margaret (the third child) became Sister Patrick Mary (of the Sisters of St Joseph).
Gerard (the youngest child) married Veronica Dillon ('Monica'). They had two children:
(i) Paul Gerard Davies (b. 14 Aug 1952)
(ii) Susan Margaret Davies (b. 14 Jul 1954)
Jack (John Joseph Davies) was Arthur and Margaret's seventh child. In 1940, on the 17th of July he was enlisted to serve in WWII. In the jungles of New Guinea he was shot in the arm by a Japanese assailant and was discharged on May 6th 1944. Before he went to war however John Joseph Davies married Marion Annie Hall and in 1947, on the 15th day of January, Marion gave birth to their only child, Anthony John Davies ('Tony').

James Hall (b. circa 1850) married Caroline Howard Weeks (b. 19 Jan 1850)
and had a son: Charles Lane Hall (d. 24 Aug 1967).
In Corowa, Victoria, 1912 Charles married Catherine Conrick. They had five children:
(i) Marion Annie Davies (b. 24 Jun 1913 in Warragul, Victoria d. 8 June 1983)
(ii) Frank
(iii) Alice ('Mick' married twice; the second time becoming Alice Milton)
(iv) Ronald Edwin (d. 18 Jul 1990)

On the first day of July 1825, Richard Beaumont (1804 - 1884) married Mary Drake (1805 - 6th Dec 1887).
In 1838 they had a daughter, Mary Hannah Beaumont.
In 1854 the Beaumonts sailed on the Balmoral from Liverpool to Sydney.
Also on the trip was George Allen Laycock (1830 - 20th Oct 1885).
In Port Sorell on the 28th day of May 1860 George and Mary were married.
Together they had 15 children:

Mary Hannah Laycock (née Beaumont) passed away on 31st Mar 1912 revered as a pioneer of the Devonport district.
A native of Yorkshire she and her parents arrived in Devonport 1855.
Charles Freeman Laycock married Roseanne Tressize (1882- 24.7.1958). They had five children:
(i) Mary Hannah (28.1.1906 – 21.11.1907 (choked on a pea!)
(ii) Florence Ethel Doreen (6.1.1908 – 31.12.1990) (m. Clarence Charles Augustus McVilly 18.7.1896 - 17.6.1970)
(iii) Hilda Maude (4.12.1910 – 8.5.1972) (m. Frank Dawson)
(iv) Oscar Charles (28.9.1914 – 20.3.2002) (‘Tom’)

Tom thought his mother’s maiden name was ‘Price’,
but on he and Val’s marriage certificate
‘Tressize’ was put in place of ‘Price’.
No one thus far has located a birth record

Tom married Valerie May Nurse (b. 1925) on the 9th day of November 1948.

In Stanley on the 29th day of September 1920, Stanley George Nurse (b. 9 Jun 1890 in Hinckley, England, d. 20 Mar 1957 in Latrobe) married Ada Gertrude Wainwright (b. 26 Aug 1897 d. 19 Jun 1965). They had five children:
